Soludo Sympathizes with Anambra NULGE over Death of Acting President

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commiserated with the entire leadership and members of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Anambra State chapter over the untimely death of their Acting President, Comrade Nicholas Aromeh.

Commiserating with the union during a brief stop over by the remains of the deceased at Anambra State Secretariat of the union in Awka, Soludo described the sudden demise of the NULGE Acting President as one loss too many not only to the immediate family of the deceased, but to Anambra State Government.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Matters, said that late Aromeh was one of the personalities, people of Anambra West Local Government Area were looking forward to as one of their future leaders.

He urged the leadership of the union in Anambra State to embrace unity and remain peaceful as well as join forces with Solution government in moving the state forward.

He added that the untimely death of Comrade Nicholas Aromeh was a one big loss to him and prayed God to give the Aromeh family, the leadership and entire members of NULGE in the state the gratitudes to bear the irreparable loss.

In his contribution, National President of NULGE, Comrade Haruna Kankara represented by his Deputy, Comrade Aliyu Babalola Adeyemi, said that they came with heavy and sorrowful hearths to commiserate with both Anambra State government, Aromeh family and the entire leadership and members of the Anambra State NULGE family over the sudden death of the Acting President of the union in the state, saying that the history of the union in Anambra State will not be complete without mentioning the deceased.

Also,the Anambra State Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Awka, Barrister Vincent Ifeanyi Ezeaka, represented by the Commissioner one of the Commission, Chief Azubuike Okoye, described the deceased as a very good friend of the Commission, wishing the bereaved family all the best life can offer as they continue to upholding the good legacies which late Comrade Aromeh was known for.

The Chairma, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Anambra State chapter, Comrade Humphrey Nwafor,said that they are here not only to say good bye to one of their fallen hero,but to appreciate him for his unflinching and emulative contributions in labour moment in Anambra State.

He described death as an irresistible end, calling on the leadership of the union in the state to work towards uniting themselves and as well take the death of Comrade Aromeh as an avenue to bring an enduring peace in Anambra State chapter of the union

On his on part,the Anambra State Acting President of NULGE, Comrade, Comrade Chimezie Atueyi, maintained that they have gathered to bid farewell to their demised colleague and to appreciate God for the time he was with them,adding that late Comrade Nicholas Aromeh was a man who always pursue peace no matter what it will cost him.

He assured that after the event, that the long desired peace in the union will return.

Biding the deceased farewell,the Mayor of Aguata Local Government Area and Mayor of all Mayors in Anambra State,Dr. Chibueze Oforbuike, said that they came with tears on their eyes to pay their last respect to their fallen friend whom he said that he worked very well with when he was on transfered to Aguata Local Government Area.

Blessing the remains of the deceased, Reverend Father Chimaobi Okoye of Retreat Centre Okpuno,prayed God to accept the soul of the deceased in His kingdom and forgive him all his sins as well as show His unending compassion to those in sorrow.

Comrade Godwin Ibekwe,a one time President of the union in Anambra State, thanked God for life and times of late Comrade Nicholas Aromeh while alive, praying God to grant his gentle soul eternal rest.

The event which was fully attended by all NULGE Presidents in the South East geo- political zone and beyond, unionists in the state, politicians, Captains of industries, friend and well wishers of the bereaved family, featured mounting of guard of honour by the leadership and members of Anambra State NULGE who were all in black as a mark of respect their own demised Acting President.

Family, friends and members of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Anambra State Chapter, pay their last respect to the Acting President, NULGE, Anambra State, Comrade Nicholas Aromeh.
