Anambra House Committee Lauds ACTDA on Capital City Transformation

The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Lands, Survey and Town Planning has commended Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) for its contributions to urban development in the state.

Leading an oversight visit to ACTDA office on March 6, 2025 in Awka, the Committee Chairman Hon. Jude Akpua who addressed journalists praised the agency progress, particularly under the watch of the Managing Director Mr. Ossy Onuko. He noted that ACTDA work aligns with Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland.

The visit focused on assessing the agency activities, including internally generated revenue, building approvals among others. However, Hon. Akpua assured that the committee would thoroughly review the submitted documents before providing further recommendations.

In response, Mr. Onuko welcomed the lawmakers visit, emphasizing the critical role of legislative oversight in governance. He reaffirmed ACTDA dedication to transparency and collaboration with the state house of assembly to drive sustainable urban development in the capital territory.
