The event took place on Tuesday, 4 the March 2025 at the Council Secretariat Ogidi, Anambra State shortly after the completion of the intensive training of Digital IGR Enumerators and Collectors selected from all the political wards and communities in Idemili North.

The Mayor who spoke through the Secretary of INLGA, Hon Paul Chidubem Okoye said that the process was in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s directive to digitalize IGR collection adding that it would include the enumeration and collection of data of all residents and property located within Idemili North.

He said that over 80 personnel engaged as Digital IGR Enumerators and Collectors by the LGA would be lifted off the labour market and empowered saying that the actual data collection would commence within the week.

“On behalf of Ochendo Idemili, Hon Stanley Nkwoka, the Mayor of Idemili North LGA I welcome you today. We have gone through the process of training for Digital Enumeration and Collection of IGR.

“We are flagging off today to enable the revenue team go into the field to commence data acquisition, enumeration and subsequently automation collection of revenue for INLGA.

“We believe that the knowledge you have acquired in the past weeks of training would be of great benefit to the LGA thereby transforming our IGR base to make it better. This initiative is in line with Governor Soludo’s zero tolerance to cash revenue collection.

“Idemili North is taking the lead as we are flagging off today. I don’t think any other LGA in Anambra State has done what we are doing now. Idemili North is always a pace setter. You are going out there to be good ambassadors of INLGA. Do not do something different from what you have been trained to do. Go out there and do the job to make our Mayor Ochendo, Idemili North, Our Governor Odenigbo Global and Anambra State proud”, he quipped.

He further instructed the field workers to be ready to get into the field before Friday saying that proper documentation for their Identity cards and uniforms were ongoing.”Our dress code is Blue top with Ash face cap with black or blue jeans, it would make you unique and presentable”.

Other dignitaries present include the wife of the INLGA Mayor, Mrs Nkwoka, the INLGA Chief of Staff, Hon Chukwunonso Dim (Udala Mbaukwu) among others.
