Fleeing Investors to Return to Anambra Soon – ASMATA PG

President General, PG, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders’ Association (ASMATA) Chief Humphrey Anuna has lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for the introduction of the Agunaechemba security outfit that has curtailed spate of insecurity situation in the state to almost zero per cent tolerance.

Speaking during his birthday celebration held at ASMATA secretariat, Onitsha, the ASMATA boss disclosed that with the new security outfit, the governor has been able to nib in the bud all manners of crimes and criminality that hitherto were torns in the fresh of the innocent residents of the state.

“To this end of flushing out criminals in the state, investors and those who fled will in no distant time stage a comeback as security of lives and property has been assured.

“Traders were mostly affected by the devilish actions of the criminals who kidnap, maim, assault, kill, extort and snatch vehicles of the people without provocation and with the new security law, we, traders are the most beneficiary.

” The Oke ite, Ezenwanyi, Odieshi, among other deceitful diabolical practices have now become a thing of the past and those responsible for such criminal deceit have fled the state in droves to avoid the wrath of the law catching up with them.

“My only regret is that a lawmaker in the state and other innocent victims had their lives cut short by miscreants who under the cover of unknown gunmen caused havoc in the state but the long arm of the law will still catch up with those yet to be arrested,” he affirmed.

On his birthday the ASMATA PG said that it has shown that he is a man of the people disclosing that the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of ASMATA, High Chief Emeka Unegbu, surprisingly sponsored the birthday solely, describing it as a surprise package from his PRO.

“This birthday is a surprise package to me, I am happy because it shows that the traders, especially my executives have love for me. For them to bring out their time shows that people love me so much to the extent that they baked a cake, designed it and brought it here to celebrate my birthday, it is not easy.

“My PRO, the mastermind of all these, is also celebrating his own birthday today and he decides to start it with me first. May God keep us alive to witness His goodwill to us in life,” he prayed.

“My prayer to all traders is good health and prosperity, whatever they trade on, the returns will be double, if they look left and right, they will get whatever they want. I also plead to them about unity because nothing is greater than unity and to love themselves,” he further explained.

In his contribution, High Chief Emeka Unegbu, ASMATA PRO, said that “I personally sponsored this birthday celebration of our able PG because he is a good man. I have looked round and searched in many ways and noticed that, the only problem he has with people is because he always advises us to be doing good things all the time.

“He will tell you the truth but if you ignore him, you will have problem, that is why I decided to personally sponsor his birthday celebration today.

“Today is also my own birthday but I decide to start the celebration from him before my own to motivate him for his good deeds.My prayer for him is long life, good health, wisdom and many more years upon his family.

“His office is very calm, government is aware of his good works, they know that he is here. When Soludo came on board and said he will make Anambra state Dubai /Taiwan of Africa, he, Soludo cried because there was no money in government pocket to achieve this project but our PG encouraged him and pledged to increase the market IGR base.

“He even assured the governor that if given enough time that he will raise billions in support of the governor’s work. First year in his office he fulfilled his promises, raise billions of naira to our working governor.

“Most people are not happy with him because he shut all illegal revenue windows used to syphon the government revenue. all the places they are raising their own money, and used the genuine ones to source for government revenue generation. So God’s protection is upon him, nothing will happen to him,” PRO prayed.

On Governor Soludo he said that he is a workaholic governor who performs wonders towards the rapid infrastructural development of the state.

“Look at the good road network,, all the Aguata area is like Taiwan, flyover everywhere. All the roads in Anambra State wear facelift and seecurity restored.

“You hardly see someone now displaying his stock in trade as native doctor or Ezenwanyi, they have fled Anambra State, prompting vacant rooms and apartments to be let out,” he revealed.

Comrade Ezeiwe Christopher, Chairman, ASMATA Aguata Zonal and chairman of all chairmen, said, “We took our President General unaware today because he normally takes us unaware too, so we have to retaliate. if you stay close to him and you don’t learn anything from him, you know you are a novice, when you come close to him you will learn how to manage things especially your family, meetings, etc

“Our president general said if you see something say something for things to normalize. This new security policy for our governor is good. There is culture but most people are taking advantage of it now, abusing it, doing one thing or the other. It helps a lot in our market. There are some markets you will enter and they will be saying that some traders are coming inside their markets at night, taking their bath inside market, doing all sorts of incantations but this policy from our governor will curtail a lot of evil things in the market.

” At times when you trade and keep your money in your shop at the end of the day, when you come back next day, you will not see your money again, that’s the work of devil but with this new policy when you come the following day, you will still see the money you kept in your drawer,” he disclosed.

Hon Mrs Grace Okonkwo, ASMATA Woman leader, said, “I am so happy today, there is nothing like happiness, look at how we are sitting together here rejoicing. As you can seeI am drinking palm wine which I don’t taste at all.

“We never expected this surprise birthday celebration, we came for ASMATA women sports competition meeting but all of a sudden they brought in a cake, drinks and even shared money to us. We thank God and rejoice for this kind of thing as you can see that everybody is rejoicing.

“My prayer is that God will add more years to us, because life is more important than everything and at the same time let the executives stay close to PG, help him in this his administration, advise him in all he is doing.

“I want to assure you also that we ASMATA women are saying that Soludo’s third tenure is assured. You see this second tenure also, nobody will put his head there, what he did in Anambra State is never experienced. He is talking of making Anambra State a Taiwan of Africa but that is not what we are saying now because what he did by scaring native doctors, Ezenwanyi and other unnecessary behaviours out of Anambra State, is a welcome development . if you want Native doctor and Ezenwanyi you move to other states, we Anambra state residents do not need it.

” Do you know if our children go out now, we will cook food and keep for them with hope that they will come back and eat it. Also if I go to bed to sleep, I will sleep like little children. I am not talking of roads, education, free ante natal for child birth but you see this his new policy, third tenure is starting from him, we women have said it, that’s all,” she vowed.

In his closing remark, Chief Matthew Onyechi, ASMATA Financial Secretary said that he so much liked this kind of gathering, promising that next year God will still keep them alive for him to sponsor the next birthday celebration of the PG.
