Anambra Student Leaders Group Lauds Soludo’s Achievements, Backs His Second Term Bid

Student leaders from tertiary institutions in Anambra State, under the aegis of the Solution Students Movement of Nigeria, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his outstanding achievements in governance and pledge their support for his second term bid.

The group made the declarations during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) at his office in Awka.

Speaking during the visit, the Managing Director of ACTDA Mr. Ossy Onuko appreciated the students for their commitment and enthusiasm in supporting Governor Soludo vision for a liveable and prosperous homeland.

“Governor Soludo sees and values what you are doing. Your passion for his agenda reflects the drive to make Anambra a better place for all,” he stated.

He highlighted several achievements of Governor Soludo to include the ongoing Solution Fun City in Awka which when completed would feature water park, country club and recreational facilities showing the governor commitment to Ndi Anambra while stressing that the state was currently undergoing massive infrastructural transformation with every community having access road.

However, Mr. Onuko applauded the dualization of federal roads and other key projects emphasizing that Governor Soludo’s effort deserve continued support.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council, Comrade Okoye Matthew Okpara, described Governor Soludo as an innovative leader who has made significant progress in just over two years in office.

He highlighted his key achievements to include construction of over 400 kilometers of roads, free education, bursaries, free healthcare services, employment of teachers and inclusion of student loans in the state budget.

He explained that the group was created to support Governor Soludo because of the incredible work he was doing and to also unite student leaders across the State to amplify his vision.

Okpara further announced plans to officially unveil the Solution Students Movement on February 21, 2025, which he said would provide a platform for students to show their appreciation and commitment to the governor’s agenda.

The delegation included Student Union Government (SUG) President of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Ezehiri Josaphat Chinonye; the immediate past SUG President of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Anambra State, John Mary Nnanwuba; and the Vice President of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Coordinator of Solution Student Movement of Nigeria, Amb. Chidi Favour.
