Soludo Reiterates Commitment to Quality, Early Completion of COOUTH Road Networks

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has reassured of his commitment to delivery of quality infrastructure in the state, and completion of ongoing projects.

The governor made the pledge while inspecting the ultra-Modern Road Networks at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) Amaku, Awka.

Governor Soludo, represented by the Managing Director of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr. Ossy Onuko told Journalists during the supervision of the project at COOUTH, Awka on January 9, 2025 that the 1.7-kilometer road rehabilitation project was set for completion within few days.

The ACTDA Boss who revealed that the agency is carrying out a total reconstruction, including the new asphalting of the road to enhance the hospital accessibility and appearance, praised Governor Soludo’s commitment to infrastructure development while describing the governor’s leadership as pivotal in delivering tangible benefits to the people of Anambra State.

Mr. Onuko noted that despite the meager resources at the state coffer, Soludo’s administration was able to transform the state infrastructure-wise, including transforming the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) with a comprehensive road reconstruction project and the establishment of a trauma center.

“This project is part of Governor Soludo administration’s efforts to drive transformative projects across Anambra State, including major initiatives in Awka, such as the Fun City and the Governor’s Lodge”, Onuko noted.

He insists that these projects signal a commitment to sustainable development and improved living standards for the residents of the State.

Expressing gratitude to Prof Soludo, the executive governor of Anambra State, The Chief Medical Director of COOUTH, Dr. Joe Akabuike, said that the governor prioritize healthcare infrastructure and establishing a trauma center at the hospital.

According to him, “Governor Soludo’s vision is to transform the teaching hospital into a hub for medical tourism, with state-of-the-art facilities and skilled human resources as these will reduce the need for Nigerians to seek medical care abroad”, he said.
