He dismissed the viral report of his dismisall as media speculation and stressed that he was fast at work.

AnambraDaily reported that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday announced the dissolution of UNIZIK’s Governing Council, which included the removal of Prof. Odoh and the university’s Registrar, Mrs. Rosemary Ifoema Nwokike.

However, on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Thursday, a defiant Prof. Odoh not only dismissed the report but expressed his intention to continue his duties.

He maintained he has not received any formal notification regarding his removal, insisting his appointment was lawful and followed due process.

He said, “I haven’t been communicated with. There’s no written communication from the NUC or the Ministry of Education. There has been no panel of inquiry or investigation. All I saw yesterday was information in the media saying I’ve been removed.

“I was not appointed through a press release. I was appointed by a constituted authority. I have not committed any crime,” he said. “After this interview, I’m heading to the office.”
