Cult War: Suspected Cultists Eliminate Last of 3 Brothers in Awka

SUSPECTED cultists on Saturday killed the last of three brothers in what appeared to be continuation raging cult war rocking Awka, the Anambra State capital in recent times.

AnambraDaily gathered that the deceased, identified as Nonso, was killed near the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) Teaching Hospital, Awka.

According to a close family source, Nonso’s killing was not unconnected to the murder of his younger brother, Buchi, three months ago at a popular restaurant near the teaching hospital.

“Their eldest brother had also met a brutal end in a previous attack. The tragic loss leaves their mother without a child,” the source added.

Saturday attack brings the death toll from cult-related violence in Awka to no fewer than 20 persons in the past week.

Mother of the three sons to cult violence has continued to receive comfort by relatives.
