My heart. I wanted to sing you a hymm of praise but I remembered that you don’t hear any other sound except your own beating.
Let me write about you. You deserve my appreciation for so many reasons.
Were you not the first among all my body parts to start working? You started beating in your tinny stage in my mother’s womb at age of 25 days. It was when you were 30 days that my mother noticed that we were in her uterus relaxing. I know that any moment you stop functioning, there will be trouble. All other body parts will stand still. I believe you are the house of my spirit. That’s why whenever you pack up, our spirit will leave us and someone has to change his address immediately. My spirit is the breath of life that God breathed into my nostrils and I became a living being (Gen. 2:7).

My heart you are my life. Your pumping causes my blood to circulate and carry on it’s functions like evenly distribution of oxygen to my body parts and expelling of carbondioxide from my system. You help my brain to function well and it directs and instructs other body systems on what to do, when to do them, and how to perform their duties.

My heart. I appreciate you. Please keep working so I can continue to live and achieve my numerous earthly goals.

Let me admit that am not faithful to you. I don’t take care of you as you deserve. I cause the channels of blood passage in my body to be narrowed through the cumsumption of junk foods and other undesirables. And it hinders your activities and causes the force of the blood against artery walls to be too high. And if I go to the medical test, they will declare me a BP patient (HBP).

When you the engine house is not given enough attention, stroke, stress, and other health challenges will be given breathing spaces.

I remember in 2002 or there about, when I met one of my biggest disappointments in life. I had secured every document and paid for my air ticket to travel to Holland. But, it was cut short that very night. I didn’t take it seriously at the moment so I quietly returned home. In the following morning, the reality dawned on me. Then, I was living in Aviation Estate Mafoluku-Oshodi Lagos. Our street (Ade Idowu) was the last street before Murditala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja.
That morning, my heart you were troubled. You were filed with worries, anxieties and what have you. So, anytime the plane took off, it will appear as if it was pressing on my chest, the house of my heart. I thought my heart was resigning on that day. Thank God it didn’t fail.

It was really a very painful disappointment to say bye to Nigeria for overseas and return the same night to your house in Nigeria.

Anyway, it was not enough to have had a heartbreak. Didn’t the Master of the universe advised us not to worry about things of this world? He did.

We bombard our heart with a lot of troubles like, smoking, drunkness, intake of junk foods, undesirable lifestyles, worries, anxieties, no medical attention and maintenance, lack of enough exercise and so on and so forth. That’s why people’s heart can pack up without giving any notice and they call it heart attack. The heart can fail in a condition in which the heart do not pump blood as well as it should.

Sometimes, the heart can race or skip a beat in a sensation called heart palpitations.

My heart, my engine house, you are always working even when am resting or sleeping. I pledge to be loyal to your dictates from today. I will be listening to you by taking proper care of you. I will pay attention to regular exercise and adjust my lifestyle that do not support your nice performances. I will say no to junk foods, smoking and drunkness. I WILL FROM HENCE FORTH consume periodically the following heart friendly NRI products: D3 organic, Nature’s gift, Cuminus oil and Nurisher to avoid any heart problems or diseases.

All hail my ❤
