Commissioner Hails Anambra Community’s Proposed Nursing School Project

ANAMBRA State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has commended the people of Ezinifite Aguata community in Aguata Local Government Area of the State for their plan to establish a Nursing and Science school in the community.

The Commissioner who gave the commendation while hosting the Traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Chukwuma Ezeugo also praised the community for taking up the renovation of the Ezinifite Girls Secondary School.

She said the initiatives were in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) module.

She described the project as worthy of emulation, assuring the community of government’s partnership.

She said, “Ezinifite Improvement Union represented by the Traditional Ruler and the PG were in my office to key into Mr. Governor’s PPCP initiatives of entire renovation of the Ezinifite Girls Secondary School.

“They’re also proposing to build a school of Nursing and Technology. This is a wonderful development which every community should emulate because a town that thinks about the education empowerment of its citizens is a progressive one.

“We applaud them for keying into Mr Governor’s initiatives and we pledge our support.”

Earlier, the royal father said the initiative was brain child of his subjects in diaspora, expressing optimism that the institution, on completion would not only benefit people of the community but the state and the country at large.

He said, “We’re here to inform the Commissioner of the plan by our children in diaspora to build Nursing school for our children, in line with Soludo’s mantra of supporting his government. We’re also here to seek the government’s consent.

“We didn’t compel the benefactors, but they volunteered to embark on the project. They’ve been doing similar things where they reside, but decided to replicate same in their home country.

“We’re ready to give them the necessary support because we know the institution will not just benefit our people alone, but people from other parts of the state and country at large.”
