Flood Crisis: NAWOJ Demands Urgent Federal Government Intervention

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Anambra State Council has urged federal government to take proactive measures to assist victims of the devastating floods that wreaked havoc in Borno state.

A statement signed by its chairperson, Tochukwu Ifejika and Ass. Secretary, Faith Onyemuche described the loss of homes, livelihoods, and the challenges faced by countless individuals and families in Borno State as heart-wrenching.

While expressing empathy for the flood victims, NAWOJ, Anambra also extended its solidarity to NAWOJ National Chairperson, Comrade Aisha Ibrahim for the flood disaster that ravaged her home State Borno and her people.

“We recognize the immense hardship and distress that such events bring, and we extend our heartfelt compassion to all those affected.

“In these challenging times, we stand with you and share in your grief and struggles while praying for the safety of affected persons and call on the Federal Government and well meaning persons to come to the aid of Borno State and her people,” the statement added.
