ARMA Gets Approval to Fix Ukwuoji-Ukwuaki Road, Awka with N133 Million
The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the award of contract for the rehabilitation of the failed sections of Ukwuaki to Ukwuorji Road, off Ifite Road, Awka, by the Anambra Road Maintenance Agency (ARMA).
The contract sum of N133,076,722. 50 (One Hundred and Thirty-Three Million, Seventy-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Two Naira, Fifty Kobo) has also been approved by ANSEC for the road contract.
A brief statement issued on Monday, August 12, 2024 by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Paul Nwosu explained that the contract was awarded after due consideration of the memo presented by MD/CEO of Anambra Road Maintenance Agency (ARMA), Engr. Obinna Nduka.
Nwosu further disclosed that 25th ANSEC also approved the contract for strengthening the security architecture at Chief Jerome Udoji State Secretariat, Awka, Anambra State. According to him, the contract geared towards ensuring safety of workers and safeguard public utilities, covers Installation of surveillance cameras and accessories and equipping of the control rooms and reconstruction and strengthening of the structural/mechanical barriers.
“The contract was awarded to Solace Development Company Ltd at the sum of N44, 671, 625. 00 (Forty-Four Million, Six Hundred and Seventy One Thousand, Six Hundred and Twenty Five Naira). It will be completed in 8 weeks from the day of mobilization.
“The contract was awarded to Intertrek Solutions and Services at the sum of N39,033,142. 50 (Thirty-Nine Million, Thirty-Three Thousand, One Hundred and Forty-Two Naira, Fifty Kobo). It will be completed in 8 weeks from the date of mobilization.
