Two Persons Killed in Auto Crash along Onitsha-Nteje-Awka Expressway

A fatal road traffic crash at Obenetiti Awkuzu by Onitsha-Nteje-Awka expressway in the early hours of June 11, 2024 has killed two people.

According to Margaret Onabe,
Acting Sector Public Education Officer, FRSC, Anambra State Command, unidentified drivers of a commercial Mack tanker with with registration number AAA877XR and a commercial Toyota Diana with registration number: AGL627XC were involved in the crash.

According to eyewitness, the Mack tanker failed break, crashed and crushed the Diana truck.

The statement revealed that three male adults and four female adults were involved in the crash which left two female adults killed, two female adults and three male adults were injured, while one female adult was rescued unhurt.

The FRSC rescstilleam from RS5.33 Nteje Anambra State rushed the victim to Chira Hospital, Akwuzu where two female adults were confirmed dead and their corpse deposited at the mortuary.

The team are still on ground ensuring obstruction caused by the crash is cleared.

The Sector Commander Anambra State Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi sympathized with the family of the dead victims and wishes the injured victims quick recovery.

He seriously warned motorist to desist from disobeying traffic rules and regulations and ensure they service their vehicles regularly.
