ANSSI 2024: Ide Secondary School Enugwu -Ukwu Wins Cricket Championship

Ide secondary Enugwu- ukwu representing Njikoka Council Area have won gold medal in cricket event (Male) at the ongoing Anambra State School sports initiative which ends Friday 7th June, 2024.

In the match played at Bishop Crowther Seminary School oval,the school defeated Bishop Crowther Seminary School Awka, former national champions, representing Awka council area by 4 wickets having scored 44 runs in 4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets in a six-a-side match.

Bishop Crowther Seminary School had earlier in their innings scored a total of 43 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their aloted six overs.

To get to the finals, both Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka and Ide Secondary School Enugwu ukwu defeated
Archbishop Patterson Seminary School Igbariam representing Anambra East Council Area and Nnewi High School, Nnewi representing Nnewi North Council Area respectfully.

The female event takes place today at the same venue, Bishop Crowther Seminary School cricket oval.

In the third place match, Archbishop Patterson Seminary defeated Nnewi High School by 5 wickets having scored a total of 32 runs in 5.1 overs for the loss of 1 wicket.

In their innings,
Nnewi high school played a total of 28 for loss of 4 in 6 overs.
