Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Maku Olatunde has reiterated the command’s determination to fish out undesirable elements that may use the Sallah festive season to ferment trouble hence the deployment of enough manpower to the entire parameter of the Eid prayer ground.
Maku stated this on Wednesday when he visited the Eid prayer ground in Amawbia to supervise and coordinate the already emplaced security to keep all worshipers safe, and avoid any eventuality.
He said the command is determined to fish out undesirable elements that may use the opportunity to ferment trouble hence the deployment of enough manpower to the entire parameter of the Eid prayer ground.
He said, “I’m here at the Eid prayer ground in compliance with the marching order given to us by the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi,mni,OFR to be on high alert to guard against any untoward incidents at the Eid prayer ground, besides deploying personnel in all vulnerable and dark spots.
“With the stringent operational strategies being executed by the command for the Sallah festivities, the command seeks to reassure members of the public of their safety.”
While calling on Muslims faithful to pray fervently for peace and tranquility in the country, NSCDC State boss said the command would sustain collaboration with sister security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure hitch-free celebrations.
Other very senior officers that accompanied the State Commandant are Deputy Commandant Alada Yakubu, HOD Ops and Deputy Commandant Akaachia Godwin.
