Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has presented welfare package to the family and next of kin of Late Corps Assistant I, Mr Pascal Nnaegbuna, a deceased officer of the command.
State Commandant, Maku Olatunde, while making the presentation on behalf of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, reiterated NSCDC commitment in prioritizing the welfare of its officers and recognize the importance of supporting their families during difficult times.
He expressed his gratitude and commended the CG for his efforts in improving the welfare of personnel of the Corps, urging the beneficiary to make judicious use of the fund for their own well-being.
“This generous act demonstrates the commitment of the CG to support the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service. The essence is to provide financial support to the families left behind by fallen officers.
“Aside from acknowledging their sacrifice, it also help ease the burden they face in the absence of their loved ones” he said
Receiving the package from State Commandant, wife of the slain officer, Mrs. Nnaegbuna expressed appreciation to the Commandant General for the welfare package and assured that the money would be used wisely.
The ceremony which took place at the Command Headquarters in Awka, was witnessed by very senior officers of the Command.
