Ajaegbu Succeeds Uchendu as Anambra NOA Director, Pledges to Operate Open Door Policy, Others

Mr Edozie Ajaegbu has taken over the mantle of leadership of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Anambra State as the State Director, following successful retirement of Sir Joseph Uchendu after 31 years and 7 months meritorious service.

Ajaegbu was before now a Director at the National Headquarters of NOA in Abuja and a native of Umunachi in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Addressing Management and Staff of the Agency at the Ebele Ofunneammaka Okeke Federal Secretariat Complex, Awka, the new NOA boss said he was impressed with the level of achievements recorded by the Agency in the State amidst paucity of funds.

He assured Staff of the Agency that his leadership would operate an open door policy, uphold legacies of his predecessor, Sir Joseph Uchendu and as well work towards improving staff welfare for greater productivity in the State and beyond.

He noted that the Director General of the Agency, Mallam Isa Lanre Onilu has the passion to move the Agency to greater height through prompt implementation of people oriented programmes of the Agency at the grassroots across the country.

He however identified paucity of funds as serious threat impeding smooth implementation of the Agency’s programmes in the country.

Earlier, the outgone State Director, Sir Joseph Uchendu challenged Management and Staff of the Agency in the 36 States of the country including Abuja to support the new DG in his quest to reposition the Agency in achieving its targets in state integration beyond negative influences of the political class in the country.

He glorified God for the bountiful achievements he recorded throughout his career, adding that amidst depth of core challenges of Agency, including improper funding, there was urgent need for adequate provision of logistics for NOA in its task of social reengineering.

Receiving the new Director on behalf of Management and Staff in the State, Deputy Director Special Duties of the Agency in Awka, Barr Ifeoma Chijioke assured Ajaegbu of unalloyed cooperation of the Management and staff in achieving his set objectives for the Agency.

She appealed to the outgone State Director, Sir Joseph Uchendu to always make himself available whenever his attention and advise were needed in running daily activities of the Agency for common good of the State.
