Anambra West LG Boss Hails Security Operatives for Dislodging Criminal Terrorising the Area

The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West local government area, Mr. Felix ikechi has hailed police and local Vigilante operatives for successfully dislodging criminal gang that set up camp and terrorosing residents of the area in recent times.

Speaking after the joint security operation, Mr. Ikechi commended the men for their display of bravery in doing the job.

The Anambra West council boss regretted that the criminal syndicate who had been camped in a forest between Umuenwelum Anam and Nzam has been causing a lot of havoc and security threat to the people of the local government for quite some time now.

He maintained that Anambra West cannot allow such people to be operating in the area as Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration is doing everything humanly possible to protect the lives and property of Ndi Anambra.

Mr. Ikechi advised parents to always montior the activities of their children and wards in order for them not to join bad gangs or groups.

He assured Governor Soludo that Ndi Anambra West are supporting his administration, and asked people of the council area to always provide useful information to security men once they notice any untoward thing within the local government, even as he assured that Amambra West will continue to be safe for people to do their businesses under his watch.

Anambradaily gathered that about three Sport Utility vehicles were recovered from the criminal group who are now in Police custody.
