[Obituary] Legendary singer, Tina Turner, dies at 83

The legendary American-born and Swiss singer, dancer, actress and author, Tina Turner, has died at the age of 83.
Her family in a statement confirmed that the “Queen of Rock & Roll” died “peacefully” at home and added: “With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”
The statement also read that a private funeral ceremony will be held for close friends and family.
Tina, who was also a prolific writer, was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee, USA.
She found fame in the late 1960s as the singer of the band Ike & Turner Revue but later went on to find fame as a solo artist.
The Grammy-winning music icon was known for hit songs like “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Private Dancer,” “The Best,” and “Better Be Good to Me.
She sold more than 180 million albums and won 12 Grammy Awards during her lifetime.
In 2022, Tina Turner shared her sorrow with fans after the tragic loss of her beloved son Ronnie.
