Anambra Transporter Dies A Week After Release From Kidnapper

The Managing Director of Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transport Company Limited in Anambra State, Chief Innocent Ezeokafor has died one week after he was released from the kidnappers.

According to a brief statement released by the transport company at Ekwulobia on Sunday, Ezeokafor died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

The transporter was abducted on October 19, 2022 by yet to be identified kidnappers and regained his freedom last week after spending about 18 days in captivity.

It was gathered that his health condition worsened while in captivity and worsened days after his release.
A source disclosed that he was rushed to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University teaching hospital at Nnewi on Saturday where he later died.
