Two soldiers and unidentified civilian were gunned down on Wednesday at Umunze in Orumba South local government area of the Anambra State.
The incident, Anambradaily gathered, took place around 2pm, opposite a new generation bank in the area.
According to a source, the soldiers were traveling in a Toyota Sienna vehicle when they were attacked by the hoodlums.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident said there was shooting close to Zenith Bank in Umunze.
Though, he said details of the attack was still sketchy, according to him, the Anambra State police command had deployed security operatives to secure and restore calm within the area.
