A 57-year old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 10-year old girl in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The suspect, who gave his name as Chidi Obieze, and said to be residing in Egbem Ozubulu, in the same Local Government was apprehended and tied by Oraifite youths while defiling the minor.
In a viral video, the suspect who confessed he has been into defiling young girls for 10 years, pleaded for leniency, pledging his readiness to stop if he was granted freedom.
He said: “I’ve been doing this for about 10 years now. I also like grown up women, but my best are little girls.
“I was only romancing the girl when I was caught. I was romancing her with my private part.”
Efforts to get reaction from the state police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga if the man was handed over to the police in the area, proved abortive as his line was unreachable at the time of filing this report.
