AUGUST MEETING: Nri Catholic Women Pledges Support for Victor Umeh’s Anambra Central Senatorial Bid

Members of the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Mary’s Eucharistic Catholic Church, St. Joseph Parish and St. Peter’s Catholic Church all in Nri, Anaocha local government area of Anambra State have pledged their support for Senator Victor Umeh, the Labour Party Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in 2023 National Assembly election.

They made the endorsement on August 18 as Umeh paid a courtesy visit to them as part of his Mid-year Summit (August Meeting) of Women within the Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Senator Umeh represented by his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh LSJ (Osodieme) congratulated the women on their August Meeting and urged them to among their usually resourceful deliberations, chart better ways of addressing rising issues of drug abuse and restiveness amongst the youths as well as women inclusion in policy making.

He also advised them to uphold the noble roles of the women in promoting good virtues in their respective families and society at large.

Senator Umeh also charged them to take part in the oncoming political activities, guiding their children not to be used unlawfully to mar the process and to support only competent candidates who based on his or her track record, can be entrusted with providing the basic needs of the people and can reliably stand as the people’s advocate at every moments.

He emphatically advised them to get their voter’s cards and keep them ready for the February 25th 2023 General Elections, and to vote for the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi for President and for himself, the Party’s Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central.

The Nri women, expressed their gratitude for the visit and assured him that the women were already aware of the enormous challenges facing the country therefore would not risk any mistake in the 2023 General Elections.

They thanked Senator Victor Umeh for his solidarity and supports for the presidential aspiration of Mr Peter Obi the preferred president candidate in that Election and assured him that the voting pattern will be: Labour Party ‘from top to bottom.’

Lady Prisca Umeh was accompanied by the former CWO Organizer of Adazi Deanery, Lady Lucy Anaezionwu and the Woman Coordinator for Senator Victor Umeh Campaign, Dr. Mrs Vero Okechukwu.
