A United Kingdom (UK) trained lawyer, Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam says Nigerian youths will decide the direction of 2023 general elections.

Barr Maduakolam the Young Progressives Party (YPP) House of Representatives candidate for Ihiala federal constituency made this assertion when he was playing host to a group of youths under the aegis of Ihiala Progressive Youths in his Azia residence.

He pointed out that his position is not in any way a disrespect for the elders but added that the 2023 elections has bestowed upon the youths the responsibility of deciding who wins at the polls which according to him is contrary to what used to be the case in Nigeria.

He said, “It has always been said that youths are the leaders of tomorrow, that claim has become so real in this dispensation as youths have decided to take charge of the responsibility bestowed upon them by nature.

“I’m happy that you are here to interact with me on my CLEAN Ihiala project. That’s is the way to go, youths should no longer allow certain persons who are claiming to be political godfathers use them as thugs during elections.”

Barr Maduakolam while throwing more light on his CLEAN Ihiala project said “Creative Economy is based on people’s use of their creative imagination to increase an idea’s value.

“It also an evolving concept which builds on the interplay between human creativity and ideas. It is the totality of individuals and businesses that produce the cultural, artistic and innovative products and services.

“Naissance is the beginning or birth of a person, idea or organization. It is a birth of a new strategy in governance in Ihiala Federal constituency. It is a new order of doing things and creating a working environment for a better and prosperous Ihiala Federal constituency,” he stressed.

The YPP House of Representatives candidate for Ihiala federal constituency however urged youths to step up their activities beyond social media noting that elections are not won and lost on social media spaces even as he charged them to go all out and campaign and convince people to vote for a candidate of their choice.

The leader of the Ihiala Progressive Youths, Mazi Joel Ikechukwu in his speech commended the YPP House of Representatives standard bearer for the numerous interventions he has occasioned for the youths and students using his personal resources.

“Certain candidates have started showing us their Facebook achievements, but the truth is that the people especially the youths can no longer be deceived by social media performance, we are going to use our tongue to count our teeth this time around, our support is for someone who has done well in practical terms and not for persons playing to the gallery on social media.” Mazi Ikechukwu pointed out.

He said as a matter of fact that the Ihiala youths will use the 2023 general elections to make a statement and to also appreciate the persons who have been there for them.
