Breakout!, Nigeria’s First College Dance Drama TV Series Finally Hit The Big Screen In Awka

BREAKOUT, a six-episode Nigerian college dance TV series premiered last weekend at Annabel Cinemas Awka Anambra state with the producers describing it as a timely movie set against the background.

The teen-centered movie boasts award-winning actors like Abayomi Alvin and dancers, like Dancephilus, Melvin Dafatone, Sasha Fierce, Badgirl Ella, Mas Lucado, Oma Mabel, Annabel Chigbo, Jiggy Rickky, Irene Nwosu, Sophie Alexander and others.

Breakout, created by Benneth Nwankwo and scripted by Maryann Ilebaye Matthew follows a group of dancers in a University as they find themselves thrust into a world where every move is a test.

As they try to steer their dancing careers, families, friendships, relationships, and school; they will learn just how strong they are ready to dig to actualize their dreams and take advantage of their moments.

The series is set in Anambra state and Enugu State, Nigeria and was produced by BN MEDIA Films. Benneth Nwankwo directed and produced it with Michael Chineme Ike as associate producer.
