The chips are down and 2022 season is in its final stages. The big boys have been separated from pretenders.

In the history of English football, no team has won all the four major tournaments and Cup competitions (Premier league, Carabao Cup, FA Cup UEFA Champions league) in a single season.

Across the elite leagues in Europe top 5 leagues, Liverpool is the only team still very much in contention to win a quartet, having already won the carabao Cup in February.

The Premier league side has made it to the semi final of the UEFA champions league where they face the Spanish side Villareal, the underdog of the fixture. The fixture seems more likely that Liverpool will play in the final though Villareal is no push over team having stumped up surprises against European giants like Juventus and Bayern Munich, knocking them off in the quarter finals and Semi-finals of the tournament respectively.

The Premier league side are through the FA Cup final and will play Chelsea; the same opponent they defeated in penalty shootouts  in the final of carabao Cup. Chelsea will definitely be tough opponent to beat as they look to end the season with a silverware and FA Cup apparently, is the only viable option to that.

The Kops are currently in 2nd position on the league table, 1 point behind the leaders, Manchester City who are in a scintillating form.

Liverpool’s next two games in their premier league games (Manchester United  and Arsenal) will great tell how/where they will finish the season.

Liverpool has the firepower to achieve this feat. With best players and one of the best coaches in the continent at their disposal. These cups are theirs to lose.

One cannot help but ponder is Jurgen Klopp side will the strings to win these remaining tournaments or will they succumb to pressure from fatigue and expectations, your guess is as good as mine.
