Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Anambra November 8, governorship election, Chief Jude Ezenwafor has appealed to Gov Charles Soludo to stop destruction of the ancestral heritage of Nnobi and other communities in the state.

Chief Ezenwafor said that he is not opposed to road construction embarked upon by the incumbent governor but said the Governor could think of alternative to destruction of people’s ancestral heritage.

“I appeal to Gov Soludo to stop the wanton demolition of people’s ancestral homes and heritage going on in Nnobi and other parts of the state.

“Rather than carrying out such demolitions, the governor should think of flyover bridge or underground ways.

“The Afor Nnobi market that is being pulled down is over three hundred years old making it one of such in Igboland. Such ancestral heritage should be protected rather than destroyed.

“Nobody is against development but such should be done in such a way to protect hard earned investments of the people as well as their ancestral homes and heritage,” he explained.
