Idemili North Mayor Appoints Onwumelu Special Adviser on Youth Mobilization, Devt

Idemili North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, has appointed Sir Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu, as his Special Adviser (SPAD) on Youth Mobilization and Development.

Until his appointment, Onwumelu served as the Media Aide to the Council Boss and has built a reputation as a dedicated advocate for youth development.

While presenting the appointment letter at Idemili North Council Headquarters in Ogidi, Anambra State, Nkwoka charged the new appointee with the responsibility of formulating and implementing practical strategies to engage youths of Idemili North effectively.

While acknowledging the critical role of young people in society, the Mayor emphasized that his administration remained committed to giving youths their rightful place in governance.

He noted that systematic and meaningful engagement of young people would be instrumental in fostering a peaceful, prosperous and progressive Idemili North and also curbing crime and criminality.

Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Sir Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu dedicated the role to the youths of Idemili North and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.

“I will live up to expectations and work tirelessly to fulfill the core mandate of my office. This appointment is for the youth and I will do my best to promote their interests,” he assured.

Onwumelu, a former Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters, has held several leadership positions, including Youth Leader of Uruegbe Umuoji Youth Development Association (UYDA), Supervisor/Volunteer of the 1Youth 2Skills Initiative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Editor-in-Chief of APGA New Media.
