NAWOJ honors Anambra Rep Member, Prof. Orogbu, urges Women to Support one Another

Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu was on Wednesday honored by Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Anambra State Chapter for her outstanding achievements and exceptional leadership and representation.

The lawmaker was honored with the Women Achievers Award alongside other distinguished women at an event to mark the 2025 International Women’s Day

During her acceptance speech, Prof. Orogbu encouraged women to support one another and emphasized her commitment to representing not just Awka North and South but the entire women of Anambra State and beyond.

Her words resonated deeply with the audience, reflecting her dedication to fostering unity and championing women’s empowerment.

The event which took place at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka, also witnessed awards to other exceptional women who have contributed immensely to society.
