National Adviser of Ikemba Front, Elder Johny Oraefo has said that the pressure group would adopt a candidate before the primaries of the All Progressive Congress APC so as to ensure the right person was thrown up during the primary.
Speaking from his base in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States of America (USA) Oraefo who also doubles as the Deputy Chairman of the Elders Council of the front, the highest decision making organ of the body said, “Everyone is talking, but Elder Oraefo has not spoken. The time is now for those of us who were very close to our late Senator. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to put our heads together and make sure that we deliver his dreams and aspirations”
He said just as Elder Oraefo and Sir Arinzechukwu committed themselves from day one to ensure that late Senator Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Ubah,CON, would become the next Governor of Anambra State but for his sudden demise, so they would work for Dr. Ukachukwu.
The Nnewi born former Biafran Commander said: “This is not a situation whereby unwanted and self-seeking individuals can camouflage themselves with lies and propaganda, rather, this is a wake up call for us to make things happen, period! It is now quite obvious that the only man/person who has the capacity to fill the late Senatorโs shoes is no other person than, Prince Dr. Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu” he said.
Elder Oraefo said there would be no sentiments or gain saying about this, rather, “the confirmation came from above, from God the almighty. Let us therefore put aside all the doubts and fears that can easily rob us of this rare opportunity and put our heads and thoughts together with the fear of God in order to send Ikukuoma to Agu Awka Government House come November 8, 2025”.
Oraefo who is on his way to Nigeria from the United States, is expected to be present at the historic event where the formal adoption will be made which is billed to take place at the National Headquarters of Ikemba Front in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.
Elder Oraefo, a veteran of the Nigerian Civil War was instrumental to the resuscitation of Ikemba Front when he hosted the National Coordinator, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2023 where the idea of relaunching Ikemba Front was muted.
