The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Anambra State Coordinator, Mrs. Blessing Ekene Iruma has commended LIFEWS FOUNDATION, who are initiator and organizers of the forthcoming Maiden Agrivoltaics Conference in Nigeria, and hailed their efforts for providing opportunity for corps members to participate in the epoch making event.

Mrs. Iruma made the commendation, during a brief interactive session with Agrivoltaics Conference Planning team in Awka, Anambra State on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Describing the conference as dawn of a new era in the quest to address food and unemployment crisis in Nigeria and Africa, NYSC Director stressed that serving Corps members could benefit from Agrivoltaics project in Nigeria.
She promised to select best Corps Members in Agriculture Engineering and Technology field that will attend the conference with her.

Earlier, the Program Coordinator of Team Nigeria, Dr. Ikechukwu Kingsley Agu had provided insights into the Agrivoltaics technology and the relevance of the maiden conference in Nigeria, which is aimed at promoting sustainable innovation for addressing food and energy challenges.
As part of LIFEWS Foundationโs commitment to providing opportunities for empowering young people , particularly in the areas of Green transition and climate smart agriculture, Agu disclosed that the Management of the foundation had decided to grant waiver of conference participation fee to the selected NYSC participants, as part of their corporate social responsibility to the society.
He explained: โUnder the normal circumstances, participation fee for the Conference is N25, 000 and above for different categories of participants. Each participant is expected to enjoy all the benefits associated with the Conference including conference materials, certificate of participation among others*.
