Mainpower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL), has pledged to collaborate with customers and critical stakeholders to achieve operational excellence, improved power supply in Enugu State.

Managing Director of MEDL, Dr. Ernest Mupwaya gave the assurance while receiving traditional ruler of Ikenga Umulumgbe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Christian Obinna Ozor, who paid him a courtesy call today, at the MEDL headquarters in Enugu.

The visit by the monarch and some members of his cabinet was to congratulate MEDL on its new role as the distribution company responsible for Enugu State and to commend it for the improved services despite challenges inherent in the sector.

He also raised concerns about the challenges faced by his community, especially around vandalism and service disruptions.

As a way of supporting and collaborating with MEDL, Igwe Ozor expressed willingness of his community to provide an office space for MEDL to enable his kinsmen easily access the office and conveniently pay their electricity bills, as well as carry out any transaction they may have with the company without necessarily having to travel long distance.

In his welcome remarks, Mupwaya thanked the monarch and his team for their visit and the kind gesture to the organization and assured him that the company would review and evaluate the issues he raised, with a view to finding solutions to them.

He equally appealed for continued collaboration with the community in ensuring that electricity assets within their environment are adequately protected against vandals.

Mupwaya further reiterated the companyโ€™s commitment to delivering reliable power and improved service delivery across Enugu State.
