Human Rights activitist, Comrade Osita Obi has passed vote of confidence in Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo’s administration over what he termed unprecedented turnaround of the state.

He called on those contesting for the November 8 governorship election election to dump their ambitions and support the governor to enable him complete his eight term.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Awka, Obi said it would amount to waste of resources contesting the election with the governor, just as he urged them to channel the resources to security trust fund of the state.

While reaffirming his call on Catholic priest, Fr Obimma alias Ebube Muonso to tender apologies to the governor for calling him reprobate, the activist said refusal to the call would amount to disobedience to the Holy spirit.

“Ebube Muonso is my son, I’m not here to maligh him. He has every right to express his frustrations. My only grouse with him is that he must confine himself within the boundary of decency.

“He will be going against the Holy Spirit if he refuses to apologize. He must have called the governor a rebropate out of anger. I’m also apologizing to him for threatening to invade his church because I have the Holy spirit,” he said.

On his alleged being bought over by state government, Obi dismissed such allegations as baseless and unfounded, insisting he was not being funded by the governor.

“Soludo is not funding me. I’m only under madness of justice. I had earlier mobilized journalists for project tour of Soludo’s administration. After the tour, I came to the conclusion that Soludo is the best.

“I’ve been here for over 30 years. Before Soludo came, Awka has been a glorified village. Okpoko was something else. I’m not saying Soludo is perfect. But there’s no need changing a winning team. If he changes tomorrow, I’ll still criticize him,” he added.
