President of Association of Digital Media Core Advocates ADMCA, Dr Chuma-Odili Harris, has raised alarm over alleged plot by opposition politicians to use insecurity as a decoy to derail Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s second term bid.

Chuma-Odili who doubles as the Convener Anambra Independent Media Conference, gave the advice in a media conference hosted in Awka by the group. He urged the Governor to remain focused on improving the lives of common men and not be distracted by the “plot” to derail his administration.

He condemned the allegation that Governor Soludo was bereft of ideas to address the security challenges in the state.

According to him, Governor Soludo, who has been fighting large scale criminality in the state and had recorded tremendous success in reducing drastically the nefarious activities of kidnappers, armed robbers, insurgents, and terrorists in the state, should not be accused wrongly.

Dr Chuma-Odili a.k.a Ogene Ndigbo, however, warned mischief makers against causing undue panic and tension in the state, noting that the government of the day is not asleep, and practical steps are being taken to curb the activities of daredevil criminals in the state.

He urged opposition leaders in the state to rise up in support of Gov Soludo as he tackles the ugly menace of criminals in the state.

“This year, ndi Anambra will be going to the polls for the governorship election. We should endeavour, and strive not to play politics of bitterness; do or die politics. The politicians should not play politics with lives of the citizens. No one’s blood is worth anyone’s political ambition. We must eschew all forms of sentiments, shun violence and campaign of deceit.

“I urge the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, not to be distracted by the antics of opposition in the state. Mr. Governor should focus more on continuous execution of projects and delivery of good governance.

“The rising spate of insecurity demands all hands on deck to halt the ugly development. There should be no blame games, and politicization of the issue. Let’s aggregate in the parlour of brotherhood and support the governor and law enforcement agencies to fight this hydra- headed monster.” he said.
