God Saved APGA from Destruction, Made it Stronger, United- Nwoye

Leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Fans Club has expressed profound gratitude to God for saving the party from a certain destruction.

Director General of APGA Fans Club, Hon. Obiajulu Nwoye made the disclosure during the club’s end of year Thanksgiving service at Awka, Anambra State capital on Sunday, 15th December 2024.

Nwoye who is also a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Mobilization, admitted during the occasion that the Anambra ruling party experienced its darkest era during the year, but survived through divine intervention and doggedness of party leaders and members.

Hear him: “APGA passed through numerous trials that could have damaged the party but God intervention has made it stronger and more united.”

AnambraDaily recalled that APGA national leadership tussle which was fiercely contested up to the Supreme Court between the Edozie Njoku led faction and Sly Ezeokenwa until the pendulum of victory swung in the direction of Ezeokenwa camp and Njoku group slammed N20 Million fine for filling baseless lawsuit, nearly brought APGA to its knees.

A grateful Nwokoye stressed that the party’s survival was a testament to God’s mercy and blessings. He commended the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his support during the trial times as well as giant strides in infrastructure and human capital development in the state.

The APGA National Boss noted that Governor Soludo’s commitment to development was evident in the release of 50 percent upfront payment for awarded contracts, ensuring rapid progress.

Earlier in his sermon, the administrative assistant to Anglican Archbishop Ibezim, Ven. Prince Chuma Oranye, made a prophetic declaration that peace and stability had been restored to APGA.

The cleric who noted that God had separated troublemakers from the party, urged members to continue supporting the party leaders who were committed to the state development and growth of the party as the people’s platform.

On his part, the traditional ruler of Omasi community in Ayamelum Local Government of Anambra State, HRM Igwe Benjamin Onukwube Okeji, expressed confidence in Governor Soludo’s vision for Anambra State, stressing that both divine and human approval had set the stage for his successful second term bid in 2025.

Igwe Okeji, who also praised Soludo for strengthening security architecture to tackle rising Insecurity in the state, also urged the Governor to prioritize the repair of critical roads, particularly the Obofemili-Umuelum-Ayamelum route, which, when fixed, would significantly reduce travel time to the capital city.

Highpoint of the event was high praise, prayers and a renewed commitment to APGA principles as well as presentation of an award to Igwe Benjamin Okeji for his outstanding contributions to the Club as well as installation of patrons and patroness.

Other notable awardees included Member Representing Anambra East Barr. Calistus Nweke and Chief Sylvester Nnaike Muolokwu, Mr Emeka Agu, Chief Solomon Ifeanyi Nwokedi, HRH Igwe John Mark Anyaoha, Chief Chukwuemeka Nweke , Chief Benson Onwuanua and Mrs Ngozi Scholastic Oguno – Nduka.
