Enugu State Government has presented a branded jersey of Rangers International Football Club to leaders of the African Development Bank, AfDB and Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program Phase One, ATASP-1 in appreciation for their Impactful agricultural development initiatives in the state.
Enugu Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Hon. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru, presented the jerseys to AfDB’s Task Team Manager for ATASP-1, Dr. Tabi Karikari and ATASP-1 National Program Coordinator, Dr. Ibrahim Arabi in Enugu on Friday.
The presentation was made, barely 48 hours after Mr. Karikari led a high powered delegation to a courtesy visit to the Commissioner’s office to thank the state government for its massive support to ATASP-1 in the state.
The delegation made up of officials of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Federal Ministry of Finance and ATASP-1 national and Zonal staff, also paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, who commended ATASP-1 for its Impactful projects and capacity building programs in the state.
While presenting jerseys of the state government owned club on behalf of Governor Peter Mbah, Mr. Ubru had praised ATASP-1 and AfDB for being a strong partner in the efforts of the state government to grow the economy of Enugu state with agriculture as a major driver. Dr. Arabi who received the souvenir on behalf of the AfDB officer, thanked the Enugu State government and its people for their supportive role towards the success of ATASP-1 in the zone.
