National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has reiterated that the party, under his leadership, remains united and resolutely focused on deepening grassroots governance in Nigeria.

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ezeokenwa emphasized that APGA was never factionalized, even before today’s Supreme Court judgment, which upheld him as the authentic National Chairman alongside his National Working Committee (NWC).

The APGA Boss clarified that factionalization requires the disintegration of a party’s national organs, a scenario that has never occurred in APGA.

He described the recent legal disputes as the work of “strangers and aliens” making unfounded claims to the party’s leadership, temporarily gaining traction due to the recognition extended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Supreme Court, in its judgment delivered on Wednesday, affirmed Ezeokenwa’s leadership along with his National Working Committee (NWC).

The apex court also imposed a ₦20 million fine on Edozie Njoku for filing what it termed a frivolous and misleading suit at the FCT High Court.

The court also condemned the legal action as reckless, deceitful, and detrimental to the integrity of Nigeria’s judiciary.

Ezeokenwa noted that the Federal High Court had, last week, dismissed claims to leadership by Njoku, reinforcing the stance that APGA’s legitimate leadership has never been in question.

The Supreme Court’s ruling, he said, brings finality to the matter, preserving the party’s unity and focus on its mission of delivering transformative governance.

Ezeokenwa praised the judiciary for upholding justice and expressed profound appreciation for APGA’s National Leader, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

Ezeokenwa also commended the Governor Soludo’s transformative achievements in Anambra State, which have positioned the party as a model of effective governance.

He asserted that APGA faces no credible opposition in Anambra due to the visible impact of Soludo’s administration.

The National Chairman also acknowledged the unwavering support of the National Working Committee, party members, the media, and the general public, attributing APGA’s resilience and success to their collective efforts. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its “Be Your Brother’s Keeper” mantra and its dedication to fostering grassroots development nationwide.
