Anambra State Police Command has blamed the lingering illegal sit-at-home in the State on what ìt termed conspiracy of compliance and little fear by residents of the state.

Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga in a statement said the twin factors informed part of the reasons the Command decided to re-strategise by visiting the 21 Local Goverment Areas in the State to get feelers of residents.

He however noted reasonable improvement by residents in resisting such illegal orders.

He said, “If you have been following what the Police and other security agencies are doing, you will see that we are not where we used to be. There is a lot of improvement by Ndi Anambra in resisting such illegal Orders.

“But we are not done yet because we are still experiencing what I call the conspiracy of compliance to such illegal order and little fear by residents.

“That is one of the parts that inform our decision to re-strategise by visiting the 21 LGs in the State to hear from everyone and anyone.”
