The Caretaker Chairman New Auto Spareparts International market Nkpor, Chief Stephen Obiora Oforleh has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State for finally commencing the installation of Solar powered CCTV security Cameras in the markets in collaboration with House of Assembly and the Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA).

The market has also called on traders to sponsor and participate in the annual charity/give-away program for the less privileged tagged Good Samaritan Day(GSD).

Speaking to newsmen in his office at Nkpor, Idemili North LGA, Chief Oforleh popularly called (Award) by his admirers explained that the installation encountered some hiccups initially because of some people who were upset on the reason why New parts market should be the first market to benefit from the CCTV Camera Installation adding that work has finally commenced.

“The contractors have started mounting the CCTV Camera poles which they are test running to be sure it can carry the panels and batteries despite the wind current in the vicinity and before the week runs out they would have gone a long way in the installations.

“I must thank the solution Governor for this initiative to fight insecurity, fire incidents and other forms of criminalities in Anambra State because it would improve security of both the markets, plazas across the flyover around this environment.

“Soludo has achieved in two years what some of his predecessors did not achieve in 8 years. He has built 5 General hospitals mostly at Anambra North Senatorial zone which is not where he came from because he saw the need at those places. He has built many roads including one road he constructed at Umunya where I live during rainy season.

“Soludo fulfilled his promise to conduct Local Government elections. He is digitalizing security and very soon insecurity will be a thing of the past. The House of Assembly has passed a bill mandating all markets and plazas to install CCTV security Cameras. infact we are mobilizing the whole market traders to ensure he completes his 8 years in office come 2025 elections so as to perfect his promise to make Anambra a smart city, and Dubai/Taiwan of Africa.

“Concerning the Good Samaritan Day, It is a yearly thing spearheaded by the Prayer committee which is a subsidiary of the Market Leadership but this year’s GSD shall be different because we understand the importance and benefits of helping the less privileged.

“Good Samaritan Day is a day we invite the less privileged from the midst of traders or people will know in the market doing menial jobs and struggling to make a living. Also, outsiders like orphanages, the disabled, widows, some categories of people who needs support to make ends meet are invited, and we give them cash and food items as palliatives to cushion the hunger prevalent in the country.

“I urge every trader in Nkpor New parts market to donate funds willingly for the program so that more people will be beneficiaries from this year’s Good Samaritan Day coming up around first week of December.

“When we came into office February 2024 because of our love for prayers and the things of God we raised over 400,000 naira to support the prayer team which we later saw that it was utilized judiciously.

“The weekly prayers gives us opportunity to argument with Sunday worship and I usually mandate all my Executives to participate because just as a prayerful christian is a powerful christian, a prayerful leader is a powerful leader,” Oforleh said.

According to the Prayer committee Leader, Bro Innocent Nwafor, flanked by Bro Godwin Oriaku a former leader, no amount or donation you spend to help the less privileged which will not be rewarded by God. Helping the poor is contributing to build the kingdom of God and it will return back to you in manifold blessings.

“The fundraising and donation will commence generally from Thursday this week while the Good Samaritan Day comes up on December 5, 2024,” said Nwafor.
