Igwe Izuchukwu Okekeonyeocha, Igwe Ezinato, Enugwuagidi na Umunri (Ozo Ebubechukwuzo) has urged Ndigbo all over the world to always uphold and promote Igbo culture anywhere they find themselves.

He made the call during his 8th Celebration of New Yam festival which took place over the weekend at his palace Ezinato Enugwuagidi, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.

“My message to Ndigbo and others is for the people to embrace their culture. Culture is the people’s way of life, uphold it at all times and any place you find yourself all over the world”.

“Charity begins at home. I am happy with my own people of Ezinato Enugwuagidi na Umunri. If I spent 30 million naira to celebrate this 2024 new yam festival, I did not put up to 2 million naira of my personal fund because of love”, said Igwe Okekeonyeocha.

The philanthropist who distributed books and other items to over 200 school children and pupils and students under his educational scholarship scheme as back to school kits urge wealthy Nigerians to always find opportunities to put smiles on the face of the less privileged in the face of hunger and hardship experienced in the country.

“If you have let others enjoy with you. I came from a very humble background. I know how I suffered to go through primary education and even secondary. So is be our brothers keeper and I do not want unnecessary publicity of my philanthropy”, he said.

Moreover, Zudan Global Properties, Secretary, Comrade Chinedu Onwurah, Chairman and Secretary, Nze na Ozo Society Enugwuagidi, Ozo Michael Nwabufor (Ozo Omenadollars) and Ozo Engr. Sam Ositadimma Oraegbunam (Ozochiemezue) respectively,Ogenna Ayeke (Onodugo), Ozo Mmaduaburochukwu Nwuba (Ozo Nwokebelibeya) in there separate speeches eulogized Igwe Ezinato Enugwuagidi and CEO Zudan Global Properties for his philanthropy and for hosting the New yam festival which brought happiness and merriment to the people describing him as a man with a golden heart.

They also thanked God for the 2024 crop harvests praying God for a more fruitful harvests in the new planting season saying that Igbos all over the world rever Yam as the king of crops that was the reason for new yam festival celebration.
