Anambra State has produced the overall best teachers in Nigeria at the 2024 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award held at the Eagles Square Abuja during the 2024 World Teachers Day Celebration. He is Joseph Afamefuna Nwosu, of Government Technical College Osomalla.
The best primary school headteacher in the whole federation was also won by Anambra State. The winner is Chukwudumeme Franca Adaeze of Afoigwe Primary School Umudioka. The position of second best secondary school principal went to Dr Grace Amara Umezinwa of Girls Secondary School Uga, while Holy Child Secondary School Isuofia was adjudged the second best secondary school in Nigeria.
Receiving the result from Dr Bibian Okoli who represented the Education family of Anambra State at Abuja, the Commissioner for Education Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh express her excitement at the impressive performance of Anambra State teachers.
She stated that with these awards the Solution Teachers of Anambra State has proved that Governor Soludo’s investment for the transformation of public schools in Anambra State has started yielding the desired dividend.
