Anambra LG Poll: APGA Founder Warns Soludo Against Inaugurating Illegitimate Winners

Founder and Board of Trustees Chairman of Chief Edozie Njoku-led All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Dr Chekwas Okorie has urged Governor Chukwuma Soludo to swear in the authentic APGA candidates as winners of the September 28 local government election without further delay.

Okorie, in a statement, congratulated the victorious Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates who swept the polls, just as he applauded the National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku who he said was behind the resounding victory.

He said, “It is with great joy that I congratulate, on behalf of the BoT of our great party, all the victorious Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates who swept the polls and resoundingly won the recently conducted local government election in Anambra State.

“I doff my hat for the National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku who led from the front, the rigorous campaign of our candidates, which resulted in this overwhelming victory.

“The foundation has been firmly established to win convincingly the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election in November 2025.

“I urge Professor Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State to proceed without further delay to swear into office the lawful and legitimate Chairmanship-elect and Councilorship-elect duly sponsored by APGA led by Chief Edozie Njoku as National Chairman, in accordance with the clear and unambiguous provisions of the 1999 Constituted of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended and the Electoral Act.

“Governor Charles Soludo should seize this singular opportunity to demonstrate his loyalty to the Party which is supreme as well as his obedience to the rule of law in accordance with his oath of office.

“This is the path of honour for the Governor.
