ANAMBRA State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor has urged Ndแป Anambra to appreciate Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s good works by ensuring landslide victory for candidates of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Saturday’s local government elections all over the state.
Addressing APGA Party faithful at Abatete Town Hall, during a special rally to mark the end of APGA’s campaign in Idemili North Local Government Area on Thursday, Mefor noted that Soludo has done enough to be given 21/21 in the local government election, which he said is a referendum to show how good the governor is working.
According to him, it’s not enough that APGA will win the election but it should win with a wide margin.
“The number with which the election is won is important. This local government election is a referendum to show that Soludo is working. There’s a saying that “if it’s not broken, don’t mend it.
“Idemili North is APGA, Anambra is APGA. People should come out en masse to cast their votes to make it a referendum. Local government election is a grassroots election and Soludo is conducting the election after over 12 years it has not been conducted in the state and he needs tbe supported and appreciated,” he said.
The commissioner further assured the chairmanship candidate for Idemili North, Hon Stanley Nkwoka, his deputy, Mrs Phina Uche Onwuachu and all the councillors of victory.
Earlier, APGA Chairman, Idemili North LGA, Chief Remi Ekwa urged Ndแป Abatete and all the communities in the area to come out and ensure Nkwoka’s victory, pointing out that he has done well as a Transition Committee Chairmen and will do better as an executive chairman.
The chairmanship candidate, Nkwoka thanked the people of Idemili North for choosing him, urging them to come out on Saturday to make a statement to show that Governor Soludo’s works are well appreciated.
