The Anambra State Police Command has summoned the two President Generals of Enugwu-Ukwu and Nawfia Communities following growing tension in the areas over the gruesome murder of three youths.
It was reported that last Monday, three youths from Enugwu-Ukwu were killed by suspected gunmen in a bush said to be the boundary between the towns, while five others escaped with bullet wounds.
One of the survivors name withheld alleged that he received a call from someone who instructed him to bring his group to the bush to inspect something. Upon arrival, they were ordered to lie down, and when they inquired about the situation, the gunmen opened fire, resulting in the deaths of three youths.
Confirming the incident, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Tochikwu Ikenga said the Command has summoned the two President Generals of the communities for discussions aimed at preventing a potential breakdown of law and order.
