Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has said that Nigerian youths should not be directed on how to express their grieviances as long as such steps were within the confines of the law.

Obi spoke to reporters in Awka, Anambra State during the investiture of the 8th District Governor, District 9142 of Rotary International, Prof Nkemdili Nnonyelu at the International Convention Center, Awka.

He regretted that the country was at cross roads, with its attendant consequences on the citizenry, particularly the youths.

He stressed that the youths knew their priorities and have rights to demand for them.

He said, “I don’t dictate to the youths what they do. They know their priorities and they have rights to demand for those priorities.

“They should not be directed by anybody, because what affects them, affects their lives. So whatever they do should be within their own resilience.

“Our country is going through difficult times and the citizens have the right to demand for such rights in peaceful, lawful and organised manner.”

On the death of Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, the former Governor of Anambra State described the deaths as devastating and painful.

He prayed God to grant his family eternal rest and give us the fortune to bear the loss.
