The members of the 21 Local Government Management team, comprising all the Heads of the local government offices in Anambra State have debunked the various allegations levelled against the Chairman of Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Vin Ezeaka.

Speaking to journalists on behalf of others at the Commission’s Headquarters in Awka today, Wednesday 24th July 2024, Dr. Mrs Orie Ifeyinwa Hellen, Head of Local Government Orumba South Council Area stated that they came in solidarity to the Chairman of the Commission to debunk a lot of rumours going on especially in the social media.

” To the best of our knowledge and best of administrative competence of the chairman of the local Government Service Commission, we say that he is doing a good job to the system. To the best of my knowledge I don’t think he did all those things they are talking about. He is just there to transform the system, clean all dirts in the system” she said.

She maintained that the chairman has their hundred percent support in transforming the system.

Dr. Orie disclosed no local government was tasked or asked to give the Commission five hundred thousand naira. She explained that the local governments decided to support the magazine being produced.

” Being our mother Local Government, we need to support them, we were not in any way mandated to do such. We held a meeting, deliberated and agreed that we need to support the production of the magazine”.

She advised those circulating the the false or fake information to always present things the way they are, noting that the Commission has started a kind of reformation that will move the system and not to stall it.

She also described the one week training they not long ago as the way to go as the training has impacted tremendously in terms of productivity.

” It is second to non, we have not had such experience since inception of this local government service commission and since local government system is concerned, we’ve not had such experience” she said.
