Governor Anambra State prof Chukwuma Soludo in an interview expressed acceptance in the Supreme Court’s verdict, granting autonomy to Local Government Councils, describing it as a democratic step worthy of admiration for all.

He said he’s going to read the documents details as soon as possible and the Governors Forum would meet to review this as well.
However, at a fundamental level, resources is required to get down to the real grassroots and we need the people’s money to work for them at all levels, whether federal or the state and the local government.
In all, it’s part of our commitment to promote accountability. We need to promote transparency at every levels.
