NYCN to Host Wazobia Cultural Fiesta, Talent Hunt in Anambra

All is now set for the first-ever Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt being organised by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Anambra State.

State Chairman, NYCN Council, Amb Comrade Obi Emeka Chukwudi disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Youths, Mr Patrick Aghamba to garner the Ministry’s endorsement and partnership towards the event.

Chukwudi said the initiative is part of the Council’s advocacy activities for the mobilization of the youth structures towards positive engagements and strengthening of the peace and unity of people of the country.

According to him, the youths being the creative age group in the society, can through such events, begin to look away from crime and other social vices.

Obi expressed appreciation to the Youths Commissioner for providing leadership for the youths and coordinating the numerous visions of Governor Soludo towards youth empowerment, in a manner that has yielded positive result.

“This visit is to ensure that the Council and the Ministry are in sync with respect to the laudable intentions we have for the upcoming Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt.

“This no doubt, aligns with what Mr Governor envisions, which is to make Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland and the first choice destination to live, work, and enjoy.

“We have absolute confidence that with the support of the youth Ministry and the Commissioner, we will accomplish one of the best talent hunts Anambra has ever seen,” Obi said.

Responding, Commissioner Aghamba assured of his support and that of his Ministry towards the event, expressing optimism that the event would positively engage the minds of the young people.

“The Soludo administration is intentional about what it wants to achieve with the youths in Anambra. The results are everywhere.

“Mr Governor has done a lot for Anambra youths- through the One Youth Two Skills initiative and other programs that have empowered our youths to be self-reliant and independent.

“The vision to create one thousand youth millionaires annually is alive through these programs and we can only be grateful to the governor for his strategic plans.

“I want to assure the Youth Council that the Ministry is solidly behind them in any venture that will complement what the government is doing to make lives better for the youths.”

The Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt initiative is in line with the vision of the Chukwuma Soludo administration to promote Anambra as a safe haven for creative ventures.

It also aims to promote the diverse cultural values and endowments of the various people of Nigeria, while encouraging unity and patriotism among the young people.

The event is slated for July 27, 2024.
