Scholarship: Anam Youth Group Offers to Pay Sponsor WAEC, JAMB Forms for Students

Elite Youths of Anam Foundation (EYAF), has announced plans to purchase registration forms for the 2024/25 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for well performing students across secondary schools in Anam, Anambra West local government area of Anambra State.

EYAF, a foremost apolitical community focused organization said the scholarship was for Senior Secondary, SSII students in Anam under its annual Scholarship Scheme.

In a statement signed by its President, Mr. Chris Anekwe, the group said the initiative was part of its commitments to encourage hard work and excellence amongst secondary scholars in Anam schools.

He explained that under this WAEC and JAMB Scholarship registration scheme, all SS 2 students who would pass the qualifying examination would enjoy free enrollment.

“The cut off mark is 70 percent average and the prize is Seventy Thousand Naira (N70,000) for WAEC AND JAMB. To qualify for this, you must be studying in a secondary school situated in Anam. You don’t necessarily have to be an indigene of Anam”, he adds.

On the rationale behind the scholarship initiative, Anekwe stated that it was an annual program that was floated and sponsored through donations from Anam youths who desire to encourage academic excellence and human capital development.

“We are encouraged by the results and impacts of this scholarships in Anam and that is why we have continued to invest in education knowing that it’s an investment that is worth every amount spent”, the EYAF leader said.
