CBT Exams: NSCDC boss warns against loitering around designated centers

The Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Comdt. Maku Olatunde has reiterated commitment to ensure hitch free 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.

Maku stated this after monitoring the conduct of the exams across CBT Centers in Anambra State on Tuesday 23rd of April, 2024.

He warned unauthorized persons against loitering around centres designated for the CBT Exams, restating that anyone found wanting would be arrested and prosecuted

He said, “The synergy between NSCDC and JAMB had yielded positive results in reducing exam malpractice

“We are firm in our determination to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The NSCDC Boss urged candidates for the examination to be law abiding, avoid being in possession of prohibited or incriminating items during the examination adding that the NSCDC personnel deployed for the assignment would be professional in carrying out their mandate.

He further revealed that the monitoring which is ongoing till the end of the examination period would ensure the seamless conduct of the exercise and promote transparency in the conduct of JAMB examination.

Some of the centers visited were, Integral Development Konsult (IDK) Centre located at Enugu/Onitsha Express Way, White House , Awka with centre ID 045, JAMB Center located inside JAMB office Amawbia bye pass Awka with centre ID 061,

Others were Nnamdi Azikiwe University ,Awka with centre ID 048, Nnamdi Azikiwe University ,Awka with centre ID 049, St. John of God ICT Hub Awka, with centre ID 064 and Kachukwu Ventures Staff Development Center, Behind Government House Awka with centre ID 046.

The visit afforded the State Commandant an avenue to reassure the JAMB State Coordinator Mrs. Jema Iheme of security of candidates and staff, swift response to emergencies and enforcement of exam rules and regulations towards a smooth and secure exam process.
